It is a wonderful day! We are almost through winter (no snow bunny here)!
A sun worshipper is more my speed

This site is meant to be informative regarding programs I teach complete with class rules and expectations as well as grading policy. In addition, I hope to provide information regarding community resources. I will provide articles in Special Education to try to keep you informed about new issues/updates.
A Little About Myself
I have been teaching for 35 years; the last 21 years at Drury High School. I attended Boston College and in 1973 received a bachelor's degree in Special Education/Elementary Education. In 1976 I was awarded a master's degree in Moderate Special Needs. I am certified in Special Education, K-12 and Elementary Education, K-8. Under NCLB I am considered to be highly qualified to teach math.
I moved to Pittsfield from Newburyport, MA in 1980. In 1984 I moved to North Adams. I miss the ocean and beach terribly! :( Presently I live near the college on Corinth Street. Both my children, Ed and Jess, live at home. Ed is in his first year at BCC and Jess is a junior at Drury. We are a pet loving family with a toy poodle, Bijou and 2 cats, Freckles and Freddy. We also just acquired a guinea pig named Keiko!
In my spare time I am learning to play the piano! I can be seen singing in community choirs across the area. Watching sports is also near and dear to my heart! I am an avid fan of college sports (guess what team) and absolutely adore the Red Sox.
Catch me at the Steeplecats from June to August--I will be in the rowdy third base section!
